Your 11-day itinerary

A proposed sequence, adapted to your dates and interests. Weather, flight operation and local access may require changes.

DAY 1

Islamabad to Muzaffarabad

Leave Islamabad by road for Muzaffarabad, with rest stops along the agreed route. Keep this day focused on the transfer and time to settle into your accommodation; hill-station excursions and Pir Chinasi require separate time in the final programme.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Muzaffarabad

DAY 2

Muzaffarabad to Keran

Follow the Neelum Valley road to Keran, with stops selected according to road conditions and the available daylight. Explore the riverside surroundings after arrival. Sharda is visited on the following stage rather than described as a stop before Keran.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Keran

DAY 3

Keran, Sharda and Arang Kel

Continue by road through Sharda towards Kel. Visit Sharda as time permits, then use the locally available crossing and walking approach to Arang Kel after your guide checks its operation. This is a village approach with uphill walking; the exact walking time and luggage arrangements are confirmed before travel.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Arang Kel

DAY 4

Arang Kel to Dowarian and the Ratti Gali approach

Walk back from Arang Kel to the Kel road access, then transfer by road down the valley to Dowarian. The Ratti Gali approach uses a local 4x4 where the track is open, followed by walking towards the lake. These are separate road, jeep and walking stages. Lake access and a camp in the base-camp area are confirmed with the local guide; when the track is closed, stay in the valley instead.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Ratti Gali base-camp area, subject to access; valley alternative confirmed before travel

DAY 5

Ratti Gali approach to Taobat via the valley road

Descend from the lake approach to Dowarian using the agreed walking and jeep arrangements, then continue by road through the upper Neelum Valley towards Taobat. This is a substantial transfer day, with an early start and limited sightseeing. It is not a direct 12-kilometre trek from the lake to Taobat. Your guide confirms a workable daylight schedule or an intermediate valley overnight before the programme is booked.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Taobat, subject to the confirmed transfer plan

DAY 6

Taobat to Shogran via Kiwai

Leave Taobat early for the long road transfer out of Neelum Valley towards Kiwai. Change to a local jeep for the final approach to Shogran. The previous 6–7-hour total is not a reliable promise for this full transfer; the guide confirms the route, departure time and any intermediate overnight needed for your dates.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Shogran

DAY 7

Shogran and Siri Paye Meadows

Explore Siri Paye from Shogran using a locally arranged jeep and walking as agreed with your guide. Track access, weather and your preferred walking pace determine the outing. Return to the same Shogran accommodation for the night.

Travel arrangements and timing confirmed with the local guide for your dates.

Overnight: Shogran

Drive to Cloud Forest Nathia Gali for exploration and relaxation. Stay at The Cloud Forest or Alpine Resort.

Travel mode: Road transfers and local visits. Distances and timings are approximate where stated in the programme.

Overnight: Nathia Gali · accommodation agreed after enquiry
