I never thought of visiting Pakistan until one day I came across a YouTube vlog series about the Hunza and Gilgit Baltistan region and I was instantly mesmerized by its beauty, landscapes and nature. The visa process for Pakistan is quite complicated and you will need many documents which are all provided by Sultan – to submit to the Pakistani embassy in your country.I stayed at Hunza Darbar Hotel, Gilgit Serena, and Luxus Hunza. I will definitely be back to Hunza in the future and I can’t wait to see all of the new changes, growth and development. I just finished a 12 day tour to Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan with Crossroads Adventure. My guide was Sultan, the owner of the company. this was my first visit to Pakistan, I have been to 163 other countries and it was time now to visit Pakistan.Best of all Sultan and his family are mountain people from the area, I was able with his help interact with many natives, take close up shots and have great conversations. Foods was great, and the hotels we stayed at were all acceptable given the remoteness of the area. Wifi in Islamabad was fantastic, else where it was obviously slow but most places had it. Our trip to Pakistan in March 2020 was nothing short of amazing. Travelling through the Northern areas (Gilgit, Hunza, Passu), Islamabad and Peshawar, we witnessed breathtaking landscapes, diverse cultures and cuisine, and most importantly, the endearing and warm hospitality of the locals. They took care of us and were patient, accommodating, attentive and helpful. One of the many highlights of the trip include visits to Sultan’s and Rehman’s charming homes in the village in Northern Pakistan.Thank you, Sultan, Rehman and Hassan, for making our trip to Pakistan memorable! A long-cherished dream came true: Pakistan – Hunza Thal, Karakoram Highway. But what is a trip without good preparation and organization?
