Itinerary:

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport. Meet, assist & transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Islamabad (hotel).

In the morning drive to Chilas via Hazara Motorway/M-15 & N-15. Visit the following places along the way

  • Saif ul Mulook National Park
  • Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park
  • Babusar Top

Overnight stay at hotel in Chilas

Saiful Muluk was formed by glacial moraines that blocked the water of the stream passing through the valley. The lake has rich eco-diversity and holds many species of blue-green algae.
Saif-ul-Muluk Lake is one of the most beautiful visiting points of Pakistan.The view, the air, the atmosphere – everything is amazing. This is a must visit place for everybody living in or visiting Pakistan!
Dudipatsar Lake or Dudipat Lake is a lake encircled by snow clad peaks in Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park. In summer the water of the lake reflects like a mirror.
Babsur Top is a mountain pass in Pakistan at an elevation of 4173m from sea level. The pass is the highest point in Kaghan valley. The cold chilly winds, freshness in air, extraordinary scenes of tremendous mountains covered with light snow and clouds just before the eyes can mesmerise anyone.

  • Drive from Chilas to Raikot Bridge. It is an approximate 2 hours drive.
  • From Rajkot take a 4×4 Jeep and to drive to Tattu Village. It is a 2 hours adventurous ride and the road is the second most dangerous road in the world.
  • Trekking from Tato village to Fairy meadows.

Fairy Meadows is a name given to the spectacular, green fields that lie near the Nanga Parbat Mountain. Fairy Meadows can be reached by a 5 km road trek from the nearby Tattu village. The Nanga Parbat Mountain sets a gorgeous backdrop for the Fairy Meadows, making it an exhilarating adventure destination for local and foreign tourists. There are several picturesque views in the vicinity. Sunsets and sunrise at Fairy Meadows are a treat for the soul. The meadows are also home to many species of wildlife. Among mammals found in and around Fairy Meadows are brown bears, musk deer, Marco Polo’s sheep, red fox, markhor and Himalayan ibex. The area is a visual treat for nature enthusiasts and wildlife photographers.

Free time and overnight stay at Fairy meadows

Trekking from Fairy meadows to Nanga Parbat base camp -avg 4 hrs.

Trekking back to Tatoo village
Take 4*4 jeep ride to Raikot bridge
Drive to Minapin. Minapin is a small village from where the trek for the base camp of Rakaposhi starts.

After breakfast start trek to Tagha Phari. It will take 7 to 8 hours to reach Tagha Phari, once we reached there, we shall be in the shade of mighty Rakaposhi (7788m) and Diran (7266) peaks. Rakaposhi (7788m) is one of the most eye-catching peaks known as Beauty Queen and the world’s 29th highest mountain.

After breakfast in front of Rakaposhi and Diran, we shall proceed down to Minapin Village and further drive to Karimabad. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel at leisure time at Karimabad Hunza. Hunza valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Pakistan surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

Explore Hunza valley today. Visit the historical Baltit and Altit forts and for sunset and sunrise visit Duikar (eagles’ nest).

It is yet another beautiful day starting from Hunza we will take a boat tour of Attabad lake, a lake formed by a massive landslide in 2010 which blocked the Karakoram highway and Gojal river forming a beautiful lake. We shall then take a walk from Gulmit village to Kamaris, Ondra and then to Ghulkin. It is a scenic walk through the village which will give you a sense of the village life in the area. Overnight stay at Ghulkin or Gulmit.

Today we shall have a walkthrough Ghulkin glacier, taking you to near pastures of Jirav, Talangshi, Ghulingal and then to Borith. These small pastures are along the Ghulkin glacier. It will be a full day walk with some outdoor cooking. Overnight stay at Ghulkin or Borith.

After breakfast start trekking towards the white glacier, it is 1.5 hrs. trek from Borith to the white glacier with a stopover midway at a viewpoint where we will be having a herbal tea from the mountains. After spending an hour at white glacier viewpoint, we shall get back to Borith to further go to Hussaini village where we cross the famous Hussaini suspension bridge. It will be another 2 hrs. of trekking from Hussaini to the Passu suspension bridge. We then visit Passu village witnessing the majestic view of the Passu cones. Hotel check in and overnight stay at Passu.
Breakfast and then depart for Pak-China border through Khunjerab National Park. Khunjerab pass is a high-altitude border between Pakistan and China and is 4 hrs. drive form Passu. On the way we shall pass by several small villages on the Karakoram highway.
Full day drive (avg 10 hrs.) from Passu to Naran valley. Free time at Naran valley
Drive from Naran to Islamabad (9 hrs.). Free time at Islamabad and overnight stay.

Rakaposhi:

The Rakaposhi mountain is the highest (7800m) & most iconic mountain in the Karakoram Mountain Range. It is located in the Nagar Valley, in the north of Pakistan and is easily visible from the Karakoram Highway. It the 27th highest mountain on Earth and the second-highest in Pakistan. It is notable for its exceptional rise over local terrain. On the north, it rises 5900m in only an 11.2 km horizontal distance from the Hunza-Nagar River. It is considered among the most beautiful mountains in the World. The mountain looks resplendent and thus named “Rakaposhi” means “Shiny Wall” in the local language. There is a tourist spot called “Zero Point of Rakaposhi” which is located in the town of Ghulmat, in the Nagar Valley. It offers the closest view of the mountain.

Nanga Parbat:

Nanga Parbat forms the Western anchor of Himaliyas Range.It is located in the Diamer District of Gilgit Baltistan. It the ninth highest (8125m) mountain in the world and the second-highest in Pakistan, after K2. It is known to be a difficult climb and has earned the nickname Killer Mountain for its high number of climber casualties.
Fairy Meadows is a grassland near one of the base campsites of the Nanga Parbat. It is like the bouquet of flowers set before the towering killer mountain. The mountain sets a backdrop for the Fairy Meadows, making it an appealing and exciting destination for the tourists. At an altitude of about 3300m above sea level, it serves as the launching point for trekkers summiting on the Rakhiot face of the Nanga Parbat.
