The much renowned Hunza valley is often referred to as heaven on earth, enveloped in the grand Himalayas and the Karakoram mountain ranges, this place has been a great tourist attraction for many years. Surrounded by majestic mountains of Karakoram, the Hunza valley is a mountainous valley in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of Pakistan. Hunza is situated in the extreme northern part of Pakistan and it borders with China and Afghanistan. The Karakorum highway passes through Hunza valley which connects Pakistan and China via Khunjerab pass.

People of Hunza valley are courteous, friendly, cheerful and helpful. They practice gender equity; you’d see women running shops along with men in addition to working as carpenters, masons, teachers, managers, entrepreneurs and what not. Even better, Hunza boasts one of the highest literacy rates in Pakistan.

The Hunza valley provides views of several tall mountains above 6,000 meters. including Rakaposhi,Ultar Sar, Bojahagur Duanasir II, Ghenta Sar, Hunza Peak Darmyani, and Bublimating (Ladyfinger Peak). Hunza has many attractions among these attractions the Baltit and Altit fort are also well known, The Baltit fort, after renovation, has recently been turned into a heritage museum.
