OVERVIEW:

On this 10-days soft adventure excursion to Neelum valley, Naran and Shogran, you will encounter some of the most beautiful places in each of these mentioned areas. This excursion includes  jeep track, hiking, village walk and many more. We will start from Islamabad with stopovers en-route for tea and restroom. It is a Soft Adventure trips so expect some dirt, off the beaten path, bumping ride etc.

ITINERARY :

Our Tour guide will receive at the New Islamabad International Airport. Upon your arrival in the morning time you will be taken for a city tour around Islamabad and in case of arrival after 12:00pm you will be transferred to the hotel to relax and have free time.

On this day, we shall pick you up from Rawalpindi/Islamabad and move towards Keran village which located on the Bank of Neelum river some 93 kilometers from Muzaffarabad .It will be in avg a 7 hrs. scenic drive with stopover at places for tea and for lunch at Muzaffarabad. Upon arrival transfer to the lodge and free time to relax.

Morning departure for Kerran to Arreng Kel with stopovers at Jagran, Sharda and Kel. From Kel it is 2-kilometer (1.2 mi) trek from Kel to Arreng Kel. Sharda is a beautiful village with wooden houses. It is a 4*4 21km drive from Sharda and will take avg 3 hours to reach there from Keran then move towards Kel in 1.5 hours. After reaching there move towards the stunnung Arrang Kel by chair lift and then steep trek to reach Arreng khel for the night stay.

Today we will have the whole day around Arreng Kel to do some optional activities like , village walk and hike etc. The local guide will be available with us.

This day we shall move towards Sharda valley. Visit Sharda old University Ruins and then do white water rafting. After that move towards Keran for sightseeing. Then move to Hotel in Kutton Jagran for night stay.

This day after the breakfast, we shall leave Neelum valley of Azad Kashmir and move towards Shogran Valley in  KhyberPakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. Reach there in 6-7 hours. Short stay at Kiwai Waterfalls and move towards Shogran valley for night stay.

Today we have to visit Siripaye meadows. For that We have to take an adventurous Jeep ride passing through dark pine forest. After 3-4 hours excursion, move back to hotel for night stay.

Today we shall move towards Naran valley from Shogran. It will take around 3 hours. Check in to hotel and get ready for another thrilling jeep ride. As we have to visit tremendous Lake Saif ul Malook on same day. Move back to hotel after 3 hours excursion for night stay.

Today, we have a long way to go and much more to explore. We shall move towards Babusar top that is located at 4,173m. On the way, we shall stop by at some beautiful places like Batakundi, Jhalkand, Besal and Lulusar lake. Move back to hotel for night stay.

Today is the last day, when we should move back to Rawalpindi/Islamabad. We shall reach there till evening for the End of our Long Journey.

DESCRITION OF THE SIGNIFICANT AREAS;
NEELUM VALLEY:

You call it a natural splendor, a piece of paradise on earth or praise its serenity and beauty in other words , all that is true about Neelum valley. This pristine valley offers you view of spectacular villages, adventurous roads, roaring river, lush green meadows, mesmerizing lakes and snow caped mountains, not just that the people of the area are calm , simple and hostpitable .

At an elevation ranging from 2300 to 4000 meter, Neelum valley is located within the Pakistani-administered territory of Azad Kashmir. This lush green valley stretches some 50 kilometers from Muzaffarabad to the exiting LOC ( Line of control) between Azad Kashmir and Indian occupied Kashmir. Some of the major attractions around Neelum valley are Dhani Noseri Waterfall, Chilhena or Titwal, Kutton Jagran Valley, Keran Neelum Valley, Upper Neelum, Ratti Gali Lake, Sharda Neelum Valley, Kel, and Arrang kel.

Shogran

A beautiful hill station situated on a lush green plateau in the Kaghan Valley, at a height of 2,362 meters, Shogran is a perfect spot to visit for people who love trekking and camping in nature. A lovely and luxurious resort is also built on top of the hill station for those who want to stay and enjoy the heavenly view.

Siri Paye Plateau

Right above the picturesque Shogran lies Siri and Paya plateau at a height of 11,200 feet. Paya is spontaneously kenned for its beautiful lake that mirrors the surrounding greenery. Siri Paye can be reached through a jeep drive or a 2.5-hour hike from Shogran. The distance between Siri and Paya can be bridged in 15 minutes through jeep. The plateau is home to Makkar (“spider'”) mountain near Shogran, one of the most popular hikes in the valley which locals say resembles a spider.

Naran 

Naran is a small town in Kaghan Valley located in upper Kaghan Valley at the altitude of 2,409 meters and one of the most beautiful places in Khyber Pakhtunkwa province. The trip offers you divine beauty, cascading crystal water rivers, rich green meadows, and snow-capped mountains, and several glistening lakes such as Lake Saiful Malook, Lalusar Lake, Ansu Lake, and Pyala Lake. Kaghan proffers Nature Lovers a pack of astounding sites to visit and soothe their sight and soul.

Kunhar River

River Kunhar passes through Naran. Few hotels are situated at the banks of the river. At night one can hear the sound of water waves colliding with the stones strikes as honey to the ears. Some people like to fish and some just sit by the river soak their feet in cold water. Rafting is one of the most famous sports activities that are carried out on the river.
