This 13-days Gilgit-Baltistan photography experience is planned to explore some of the most panoramic and scenic landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan. Gilgit-Baltistan is a widespread region with matchless beauty having both snow caped and naked mountains, lush green meadows, cultural heritage sites, glaciers and many more . We have tried to cover most of them on this excursion.
This journey starting from the 2nd most beautiful capital of the world “Islamabad” moves into the 8th wonder of the world “Karakoram Highway”. The first spot of Gilgit Baltistan would be Chilas valley, then to Gilgit and up to Skardu then to Hunza valley and its beautiful surroundings. The trip provides an opportunity to get aware of the unique culture and heritage of Gilgit-Baltistan, and to taste fresh featured fruits along with the distinctive and tasty local dishes.

Most of this expedition is to the mountainous region of Gilgit-Baltistan, where the avg altitude is 2,438 meters (7,999 feet) and some places it can be than that.
The security situation of the region is satisfactory hence no need to stress your nerves on security issues. The government in the region has a tourist police to ensure the visitors in the region are safe and secure.
Although, the trip would be at the beginning of spring till the end of Autumn, however, can be arranged in the winters as well for the winter lovers.
We recommend this trip for the age group from 10-75 years old keeping in view the altitude , weather and road conditions.

Description of Significant Areas:
This beautiful valley is 30km from the Capital. It remained the center of the Ghandhara Civilization during the first to eighth century AD. Therefore, it holds the ruins of the Buddhist era like Sirkap City, Bhamala Stupa, Dharma Rajika Stupa, and many more.
Naran and Kaghan:
The magnificent valleys at the heart of mountains contain plains and grass carpeted hills holding pine trees. Famous for dry fruits and handicrafts Especially skillful walnut carvings. Lake Saiful muluk is at 8 km on te Nort of Naran. Lake Ansu is situated beside Malika Parbat Mountain. It also offers the Glacial Shining Lalusar lake at the top altitude of Babusar top.
It is at a height of 4173 meters. It is one of the highest mountain passes which connects Naran to Chilas. Mostly, it remains open from July to September for traffic.
Karakorum Highway traverses this beautiful valley. It holds significance for two reasons. The first is the enchanted beauty of Fairy Meadows and the second is the Rock inscriptions which reflect the ruling eras of different invaders in the region. The different civilizations used it as a crossroad. The inscriptions belong to 8 to 16 BC. It also holds the carvings of Buddhism.
It is the largest GB district. It is 201km from Gilgit City. It hosts many wonders of nature like Deosai National Park which is at the south of the city at 24 miles. It is the home to near the verge of extinction Himalayan Brown Bear. The next important place is Kharpocho Fort also known as King of Forts dated back to the 16th century AD. The Upper and Lower Kachura lakes separated by 8km of distance provide the Shangrilla Fort unique in its construction. The Sadpara lake at the mountainous heart, the Buddha carvings 3 km away from Sadparah Nullah. The Khaplu palace, K2 base camp, and the Shigar Valley all are worth visiting places.
This divine land is present alongside the Hunza river, surrounded by statured mountains and Shiny glaciers on the extreme North of Pakistan. It is divided into Lower Hunza (Shinaki), Central, and Upper Hunza (Gojal). Its capital, Karimabad is encapsulated by three glorious mountain peaks named Rakaposhi, Diran, and Ultar. The two antique self-revealing forts Altit and Baltit are present in the suburbs of Karimabad. Along with the extended miles of Apricotes and fresh local grapes other enchanted places are the Hoper Glacier ( 12km length), Golden Peak mountain of Karakorum range famous for organized commercial expeditions, Attabad lake, the beautiful Shimshal village, the unparalleled Passu cones, Borith lake in Gulmit and many more.
