Today (Jan 20, 2019) is about Shahi Qila, a historical fort of 15th century.

History lovers regard Shahi Qila as “Lahore fort” is located in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. The building structure of Shahi Qila is trapezoidal that spread over 20 hectares. It was built during the region of Mughal Emperor Akbar around 1556-1605 and also upgraded subsequently after Mughal by Sikhs and British rulers. The Shahi Qila (Lahore fort) contains two gates one is built by Aurangzeb is called Alamgiri gate and the older gate is built by Akbar is called Masjidi gate. Alamgiri gate is the main gate that use for the access of visitors and tourists.

This fort is rich in manifests of Mughal architectures and mirror work which was famous in Mughal times. You can treat yourself by the specialty of famous sites inside fort include Sheesh Mahal, Naulakha Pavilion, Dewan-e-Khas and Moti Masjid.

Shahi Qila (Lahore fort) has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site along since 1981. Shahi Qila also contains beautiful decorated Farsi style gardens. It’s all gardens by passage of time enhanced to make the fort most attractive places to visit in Pakistan. Fort each room and corner is embellished with mirror work and fretwork and its floor is made up of fine marble. Shahi Qila (Lahore fort) consists of a superior broad hall with several rooms with a vast courtyard in front.
