One of the focal points of Buddhism, the ancient city lies at a distance of 34.9km from Islamabad. It hosts numerous monuments of Gandhara Civilization like Sirkap city, Bhir Mound, Dharma Rajika Stupa, Bahambala Stupa. It is known for the ruins of several settlements therefore it is included in UNESCO'S World Heritage List. After a thorough visit departure towards Rawalpindi, exploration of old Raja Bazar, the truck decoration point, and the Saddar Bazaar. Dinner and night stay would be in Rawalpindi.
After early morning breakfast, the adventure towards Rohtas Fort begins, which is present near Jehlum city 113.8km away from Islamabad. The 16th-century monumental structure was built by Raja Todar Mall over the orders of Sher Shah Suri. It is best known for its distinctive defensive walls, monumental gateways, and large Bastions. It is included in UNESCO's World Heritage List. After a detailed visit, the journey then proceeds towards the major city of Lahore. Dinner followed by a night stay will be at Lahore.
The capital of Punjab province is divided between old and new cities. The old walled city carries the antic monuments mainly from the British era. Our first destiny will be UNESCO'S enlisted World Heritage Center, the Grand Lahore Fort, constructed during the great emperor Akbar in 1566 CE carries almost 21 monuments like the distinct architectural Sheesh Mahal, the unequaled Summer palace, the antic piece Kala burg, and many more. The next stop would be the adjacent Badshai Mosque which is the second biggest mosque in Pakistan, a masterpiece of Islamic art. Shalimar gardens will be explored to satisfy the aesthetic sense. The other destination will be Wazir Khan mosque, Minar e Pakistan and the Lahore Museum followed by a memorable walk through the Anarkali Bazaar.
Post morning breakfast, further exploration of Mughal masterpieces will be going on. A detailed visit to the tombs of Empress Noor Jehan and Emperor Jehangir followed by a visit to the Government College Lahore, the GPO office, Montgomery Hall, and Tollinton Market. Then the last stop would be the Wahga border where the event of flag taking down takes place every evening, it is the place of great patriotic slogans from both India and Pakistan side.
The ancient city of Indus Valley Civilization lies at a distance of 261.2km from Lahore. The two magnificent cities of Mohenjodaro and Harappa emerged around 2600 BC, on the bank of River Indus in Sindh and Punjab. Today, the modern Harappa is a small town near Sahiwal. After the investigation and observation of Harappa, the journey proceeds towards Multan. Dinner and night stay at Multan.
After the early morning breakfast, an eye-catching visit to Multan will be started. This city is termed as a City of shrines, located at the cross routes of central, western, and south Asia. The renowned Shrines of Bahauddin Zakariya, Shems Tabrez, and the Shah Rukhn e Alam is not only important from an architectural point of view but also for the soul-soothing Sufi music. After the visit to the shrines, the spare time will be spent in Hussain Agahi Bazaar, the further journey will be set towards Bahawalpur city, where dinner followed by a night stay will be done.
Bahawalpur is known as the City of Palaces, at a distance of 101.7km from Multan. We will visit Darbar Mahal, Noor Mahal, and Sadiq Ghar palace. After lunch, the exploration of the antic masterpiece Derawar Fort in the Cholistan desert will be conducted. The city is known for its calm environment along with large houses and verandas.
