Itinerary

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport and transfer to your hotel. After a night of rest in Pakistan’s thriving capital, depart on a short domestic flight to Skardu. With your expert guide, explore the town, taking in the stunning landscape, and enjoy a traditional Pakistani tea, snacks and meals. Enjoy an overnight stay in Shigar, just outside Skardu. Travel from Shigar to Gilgit. After an overnight stay in Gilgit, start your journey towards Karimabad Hunza with stopovers at Rakaposhi Viewpoint, the remains of the old Silk Road. Once in Karimabad take a late afternoon walk around the local market and enjoy an incredible sunset vista from Eagle’s Nest.. Start the day by visiting Hopper Nagar, after which you’ll visit the mesmerizing Attabad Lake, known for its turquoise blue waters and scenic backdrop. If desired, enjoy a boat ride. After a night of rest, continue your journey to Gulmit, a picturesque village in Gojal Valley. Proceed to Passu, a scenic village offering panoramic views of the Passu Cones and the Batura Glacier. Take a short hike to experience the beauty of the area up close. RESERVATIONS

Crossroads Adventure (Pvt)Ltd. (referred to as “The Company” in the remainder of this agreement) requires a 50% deposit at the time of making tour reservations and the balance at least 45 days before commencement of the expedition.

EXPEDITION PRICE

The prices quoted are inclusive of the services mentioned on the clients’ itinerary. The Company will not be held responsible for additional expenses and incidentals incurred from items not mentioned in the clients’ itinerary. While all attempts are made to keep tour prices consistent, prices are subject to change without notice and are only guaranteed on payment of a 50% deposit. The tour price is not inclusive of the bank transfer charges; the bank transfer charges will be paid by the customer and not by The Company.

CANCELLATION

If the tour is cancelled 60 days or more before the start of travel, then no cancellation fees will apply. We will refund the amount paid less any non-recoverable upfront costs, including, but not limited to, transfer charges by the bank, non-refundable hotel fees, non-refundable admission tickets, transportation deposits or other costs incurred by The Company on your behalf.

If the tour is cancelled 30-39 days before the start of travel, a 20% cancellation charge will apply. If you have paid for your tour in full, we will issue a refund of 80%. If you paid only a deposit, we will refund only the amount in excess of 20% of the total tour price.

If the tour is cancelled 15-29 days before the start of travel, a 30% cancellation charge will apply. Similar to above, If you have paid for your tour in full, we will issue a refund of 70%. If you paid only a deposit, we will refund only the amount in excess of 30% of the total tour price.

If the tour is cancelled 7-14 days before the start of travel, a 50% cancellation charge will apply. 100% cancelation charges will apply for cancelation of the tour anytime within 6 days of the travel start date.

In some cases, we may cancel a tour due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event that we cancel the tour, you may choose between a rescheduling of the tour, a full refund of all monies paid OR a credit towards an alternative tour. If you choose to accept a credit, the difference in the cost of the alternative tour will be refunded or paid by you as applicable less the cost of cancellation fees levied by hotels, lodges, airlines and other service providers.

Please note that % of the cancellation charges above refers to the % of the total tour price.

Accommodation (and prices provided) are based on a twin share basis. If a single room is requested, particularly on a group tour, this can be arranged at a supplemental cost. Some facilities have double beds available on request. All rooms have a private shower or bath, except where otherwise specified (i.e. when camping or staying in tents/yurts or other such trips).

EXPEDITION ALTERATION

We have made all attempts to make these programs as accurate as possible. However, in circumstances beyond our control, changes may occur. We therefore reserve the right to change itinerary, carriers and substitute hotels where necessary. We guarantee to make every attempt, where possible, to book an alternative establishment of similar category and standards.

VISA / HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Clients are advised to check the local visa entry and health requirements and to ensure that they are in possession of the correct documentation required to travel. The Company does not accept any liability for clients who are inadequately prepared.

FLIGHTS SUBJECT TO WEATHER

All Northern Area flights in Pakistan are subject to weather and back load conditions and thus operate on an ad hoc basis. Should the reserved flight not operate on the day scheduled as per the itinerary, alternative vehicular transportation will be arranged. If any additional costs are involved due to this change, these will have to be paid by the clients. Maximum luggage allowance 20 kilograms (kg) for domestic flights between Islamabad and Gilgit. It is advised that you leave your hard-sided suitcases at home. If you bring more than 20 kilograms (kg), you may incur additional costs or be asked to leave your luggage behind.

LIABILITY

All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that The Company and its agents act only as agents for the passenger in all matters relating to hotel accommodations, tours, transport, etc. and shall not be liable for injury, delay, loss or damage in any manner. The Company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage or personal items. Additionally, The Company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the laws of the country in which the tour takes place, and no other country. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the action arises. The Company reserves the right to employ subcontractors for all or part of the services rendered.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Clients are advised to purchase travel insurance prior to commencement of their tour. For your own protection, we recommend that you purchase adequate trip cancellation, medical, baggage, accident and other personal effects insurance.

RATES

The tour costs given are subject to amendment should the Government and/or suppliers amend taxes and /or rates prior to the commencement of the tour. We make every attempt to keep you apprised of any possible changes and will provide this information as soon as we are aware of such changes.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Payment for itinerary, 50% of payment is required to secure your spot. Full Payment (balance) is due 45 days before departure. If an expedition/tour is booked within 45 days of departure, the full amount of the expedition must be made at the time of booking.
